Baqueira Beret is a place of pilgrimage for both Catalan and Spanish skiing enthusiasts. This winter sports resort boasts the most kilometres of ski slopes on the Iberian Peninsula. The quality and abundance of snow throughout the season are the key to its success, not to mention its prestige thanks to celebrities that enjoy its slopes year after year.
Skiing in Baqueira Beret is a pleasure for all skiing enthusiasts, whatever their level. The resort features 72 pistes in an area extending over one hundred kilometres equipped with 33 lifts. It also has four snow parks designated for children, four ski schools with 300 instructors, a slalom stadium and a snow park.
Baqueira Beret?s location straddles the counties of Val d?Aran and Pallars Sobirà. The resort is divided into three main areas interconnected by lifts: Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua. It is surrounded by peaks rising to almost 3,000 metres and high mountain lakes. Some of these lakes are among the largest in the Spanish Pyrenees, such as Lago de Mar and Tort de Rius.
